Last updated: 16 March 20152015 has started off with a bang.
My new one woman show, YEP, STILL GOT IT! opened at Circa Theatre on 28 February. The show got two rave reviews and the audience response has been fabulous. I am so pleased. BOOMERS BEHAVING BADLY was such a success. I wanted to make the new show even better. And it is! I started out making a show about aging. I wanted to explore how some people embrace the aging process and others totally fight it. I did lots of research and found some great songs. However, YEP, STILL GOT IT! took a different path. I will make a show about aging at some point.
I am going back to the States in late March. Canít wait to visit Sam at Penn State, see my sisters and friends in Columbus and go to NYC. A real holiday. I need it!
My students have a student show this year. We are sending up pop songs of the 1980ís. Sandy Brewer will direct it and I will be the musical director. Our student shows are always very funny. We rehearse for 5 Saturdays and then put the show on. Short and intense rehearsal period. Good way to work.
I continue to work at Whitireia on the Musical Theatre Course. My private singing studio is thriving.
Dick continues to enjoy his retirement by keeping busy with his many interests.
Sam has been studying at Penn State University this year as an exchange student through Victoria University. He has totally embraced this American experience. I am so proud of him.
Life is good.
